Fisher Kitchen

This small-home renovation presented an intriguing challenge: how to modernize the look and functionality of an inadequate kitchen while staying true to the home’s Arts and Crafts roots?

Last updated in the 1970s, the existing kitchen was a confused maze of cabinets and counters, completely impractical for a growing family. Working within its limited footprint, we opened the kitchen to the family room using counters, cabinets and a bracketed archway to link the spaces. Our solution expanded the available counter and storage space while facilitating access to the dining room—all while staying faithful to the clarity and craftsmanship of the 1920’s original.
